{"id":23244,"date":"2024-08-29T12:43:16","date_gmt":"2024-08-29T12:43:16","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/www.compass-horizon.eu\/?p=23244"},"modified":"2025-11-20T12:48:26","modified_gmt":"2025-11-20T12:48:26","slug":"recover-aircraft-and-automotive-waste-to-manufacture-new-products-for-strategic-sectors-from-innovaspain","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/www.compass-horizon.eu\/?p=23244","title":{"rendered":"Recover aircraft and automotive waste to manufacture new products for strategic sectors | from InnovaSpain"},"content":{"rendered":"\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\"><a href=\"https:\/\/www.innovaspain.com\/compass-reciclar-refabricar-aitiip-automocion-aviacion\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noreferrer noopener\">from InnovaSpain<\/a><\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">The European <a href=\"https:\/\/www.compass-horizon.eu\/\"><strong>COMPASS<\/strong> project<\/a>, aims to recover high-value waste from the aerospace and automotive industries, such as sheet metal and thermoplastic composite panels, and re-manufacture them into new, strategic products. <\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">Central to this initiative is <strong>AITIIP Technology Centre<\/strong>, which leads the development of advanced processes for remanufacturing thermoplastic composites using innovations in pressing, heating, and tooling. <\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">COMPASS brings together a consortium of 13 international partners to design next-generation dismantling and recovery technologies, and to implement a <strong>digital product passport<\/strong> that will trace the life cycle of each component.
