COMPASS Showcased at AFRA Conference 2025 | 1-3 June 2025

The COMPASS Horizon EU project was highlighted by AELS during the AFRA Conference 2025 in Fort Lauderdale, Florida, in a dedicated workshop on cabin recycling.

During one of the workshops about cabin recycling, AELS introduced the current state of aircraft recycling, noting that most materials today are processed by shredding and melting aluminum. The presentation emphasized how COMPASS is exploring innovative approaches to give aircraft materials a second life, moving beyond traditional recycling methods and unlocking new opportunities for circularity in the aviation sector.
