COMPASS Showcased at SAMPE Europe 2025 | 7 October 2025

The COMPASS Horizon EU project was featured at SAMPE Europe 2025, held in Amsterdam on 7 October, where about 250 participants attended the conference focused on advanced materials and their processing.

During the conference, which carried the theme “The Future of Advanced & Sustainable Composites,” COMPASS was presented in a session dedicated to artificial intelligence applications. Abhiram Kolli from PROFACTOR showcased the project’s recent results on AI-based defect detection on carbon fibre fabric, demonstrating the use of the FScan sensor adapted for COMPASS’ recent demonstrations.

This presentation highlighted the potential of combining artificial intelligence with advanced sensing technologies to improve quality control in composite materials, a key step toward more efficient and sustainable manufacturing processes.

The SAMPE Europe conference provides an excellent platform for projects like COMPASS to share innovations, connect with experts in advanced materials, and discuss the future of sustainable composites.
