COMPASS at Manufacturing Partnership Days 2025 | 20-22 October 2025

Advancing Digital Product Passports in Automotive and Aerospace
On 21 October, the COMPASS team had the pleasure of participating in the Manufacturing Partnership Days in Brussels, a key event organised by EFFRA to connect stakeholders from across Europe’s manufacturing and research ecosystem. This annual event brings together industry leaders, researchers, and policymakers to discuss innovation, collaboration, and sustainable manufacturing practices.
A highlight for COMPASS was Christian Eitzinger from PROFACTOR, our lead partner, who took the stage during the Circularity Session to showcase how the COMPASS Horizon Europe project is driving the collection, selection, and sharing of data throughout the entire lifecycle of components in the automotive and aerospace sectors. His presentation addressed critical topics such as data formats, IPR protection, and selective access to information, all essential for ensuring that Digital Product Passports (DPPs) deliver real economic value to every stakeholder—an essential factor for successful industry adoption.
We were also pleased to see Riccardo Varotto from NSBproject, alongside Enrique Hernandez and Jose Antonio Dieste Marcial from Aitiip Centro Tecnológico, sharing COMPASS updates and insights with participants, sparking engaging discussions on circularity and digitalisation in manufacturing.
Participation in events like Manufacturing Partnership Days 2025 is crucial for projects like COMPASS. They provide a unique platform to connect with industry stakeholders, showcase innovative solutions, exchange knowledge, and foster collaborations that can accelerate the adoption of sustainable and digital manufacturing practices across Europe.
