COMPASS General Assembly: progress, collaboration, and new nomentum in Zaragoza | 25-26 Novembre 2025

There is something special about working and exchanging ideas in person, the energy, the focus, and the shared sense of purpose always offer an extra boost. This November, the COMPASS consortium gathered in Zaragoza (Spain) for its periodic General Assembly, marking an important moment to reflect on progress and align strategies for the months ahead.

Hosted by Aitiip Centro Tecnológico, the meeting provided partners with the opportunity to step inside Aitiip’s state-of-the-art laboratories—spaces where research, experimentation, and innovation truly come to life. Their hospitality and openness created the perfect environment for productive discussions and hands-on exploration.

Two Years of Work, First Results Taking Shape

After two years of intense activity across the consortium, the General Assembly showcased significant progress. Technical achievements, validation activities, and the first tangible results of the COMPASS technologies are now emerging, confirming the project’s strong trajectory toward its objectives.

The sessions offered a clear overview of what has been accomplished so far and what lies ahead. From demonstrations to planning meetings, partners shared insights, challenges, and best practices—strengthening a collaborative spirit that is essential for a Horizon Europe initiative of this scale.

Setting the Agenda for the Upcoming Months

This new meeting concluded with great satisfaction and a renewed sense of direction. The consortium outlined the agenda for the next stages of the project:

  • advancing ongoing technological developments,
  • preparing upcoming validation activities,
  • reinforcing cooperation between industrial and research partners,
  • and intensifying dissemination and clustering actions.

The work ahead is undoubtedly intense, but the outlook is promising. The assembly reaffirmed the commitment of all partners to deliver impactful, innovative, and sustainable results.
